The Blessing in Praise

 Psalms 89:15-16 (NIV) says Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence, Lord.  They rejoice in Your name all day long; they celebrate Your righteousness.  

Acclaim means to praise enthusiastically and publicly.  This is how I'm feeling this morning as I start my day with a devotion and I'm reminded in Psalms to praise God enthusiastically.  I want to do this!  I want to walk in His light.  The definition of light is that natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible!  Did you feel that!?!  Boy, I did!  Don't you want to see and have vision??  I do!  I want to see.  I want to see and be led by Him today, but I also want to have vision and imagination for what He has in store for me, for all this life can be.  That's what walking in His light does for us...I love this!...It makes things visible.  

What I have already received from God is SO GOOD, you guys!!  I have watched Him bring me through some things, I have seen His provision, I have experienced His restoration, and that's a testimony I plan to share here at some point.  I absolutely can't wait to see what's next!  When I read something like this that says I am blessed (favored, holy, consecrated) because I praise him, I get excited, I feel renewed energy in my spirit.  The definition of consecrated is to be declared sacred or holy.  Did you hear that?  YOU have been declared holy.  You are a child of the king, a friend of Jesus.  You are special!!  And He desires our praise.  Wow!  There is SO much blessing wrapped up in the act of praise.  Let's try it today.  Let's praise him!  Let's celebrate His goodness! Let's take Him up on all he offers!  Psalm 34:8 tells us to taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.  

May I always praise Him enthusiastically and walk in His light that makes things visible to me.  This light that helps me see what He would have me see, gives me vision and hope for today and every day ahead.  This light that gives me the ability to imagine and dream beyond what I see with physical eyes.  Why wouldn't I praise Him, rejoice in Him, celebrate my savior and his goodness?  Oh, how good He is to me... and to YOU!

    This is exactly what I needed to hear today. I miss the woman who was filled with joy everyday. I have been unable to see for all that I have been thru… He is always there waiting for us to come back.

    I have read several of your posts today! I love your positivity and pure love for Jesus!! I have been reminded of so many things today. Things I know in my heart but have let fall by the wayside. As I take inventory of myself and realize the way I’ve been feeling and acting is all directly tied to not keeping my focus on Jesus and letting His light lead me and shine through me!! I want to see ALL He has for me!! Thank you Tammy for being a light for Jesus!! 🩷

Myrtle Beach

We just spent the last several days in Myrtle Beach.  The weather and the views were perfect!! And, of course, we ate well.  If you happen to visit: I think we would all recommend the Flying Fish. The food was SO good, and we may have eaten there twice to try a couple of other menu items 😉. The Grouper and the Seafood Linguini were our favorite Entrees. The Seafood Nachos were a big hit as well. The hubby loved the oysters, but I can't make myself try them😁.  We also tried the Chesapeake House, and it was good as well. The hush puppies and cinnamon rolls served before the meal were yummy!  Lulu’s had a super cute atmosphere. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite, though still good.  Barefoot Landing at Myrtle was a really beautiful place to eat and shop. Feelings

How are you feeling this morning, in this season of change? I don't know about you, but I sat down this morning thinking about how I feel  - a little tired, the weather is changing, getting darker earlier, less sunshine, affecting my motivation. Feelings of anxiousness and overwhelm seem to pop up this time of year for me (if I let them). But... You know I like to start my day by spending some time with Jesus and journaling, so I sat down to do just that. I opened my journal and the first thing I saw is something I wrote just 3 days ago !!  "I want my light to shine brighter than my feelings." How ironic, right?! God is a Good God

 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalm 34:8) Good morning, friends! I had something on my mind and wanted to share it with you. One of our granddaughters recently got hurt, and it hurt my heart so deeply for her. Since that day, I have wanted nothing more than to see her, hold her, be close to her, tell her how much her Mimi loves her. I didn’t cause her to get hurt. It was an accident and accidents happen. But, man, I just wanted to fix it, to lay my hands on her, pray for her. I know that her resilience and quick healing is because of the good God we serve.   We spent the afternoon with her on Sunday and after we left, I was thinking about her and God spoke something to my heart.
