TIME WITH JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING

 Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, let us settle the matter," says the Lord.  "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."

Accepting Jesus as our savior cleanses us of our sin, tosses them away never to be remembered again.  That's good news!  A clean slate, a new start!  But what happens next is up to us.  Change in our human nature isn't automatic but as we build relationship (connection, bond) with Jesus, we will begin to see change, to desire change.  I completely believe that time with Jesus changes everything.  In my own experience, time with Him will change things we didn't even realize needed to be changed.  My husband often says he doesn't recognize the man he was before he really began to spend time with Jesus and build relationship with Him.  I've heard him say he was a believer, but now he believes Him.  That is powerful!  That's personal, that's relationship.  Do we believe Him, ALL that He says, ALL that He promises?  Do we take time to really know Him, talk to Him, spend a little one-on-one time with Him, just hang out with Him?  He wants to hang out with us!!

The effort to spend time with Him is on us but the results are great, and it just keeps getting better.  Psalm 23:6 says His goodness and love will follow me ALL the days of my life.  The MSG translation says His love chases after me every day of my life.  In my own experience, He never stops chasing, pursuing, and loving me.  As I look back over my life, the proof is in the pudding as I've seen him keep promise after promise after promise.  There is no greater love, none more perfect.  Oh, how thankful I am for this love, this friendship that NEVER stops pursuing me!  What a blessed life I live because of His unwavering love and kindness, His relentless pursuit of my heart.

Myrtle Beach

We just spent the last several days in Myrtle Beach.  The weather and the views were perfect!! And, of course, we ate well.  If you happen to visit: I think we would all recommend the Flying Fish. The food was SO good, and we may have eaten there twice to try a couple of other menu items 😉. The Grouper and the Seafood Linguini were our favorite Entrees. The Seafood Nachos were a big hit as well. The hubby loved the oysters, but I can't make myself try them😁.  We also tried the Chesapeake House, and it was good as well. The hush puppies and cinnamon rolls served before the meal were yummy!  Lulu’s had a super cute atmosphere. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite, though still good.  Barefoot Landing at Myrtle was a really beautiful place to eat and shop. Flying Fish and Lulu’s were both located there, and the baby had her first carousel ride there. This was such a good time of rest, relaxation, and laughter. Feelings

How are you feeling this morning, in this season of change? I don't know about you, but I sat down this morning thinking about how I feel  - a little tired, the weather is changing, getting darker earlier, less sunshine, affecting my motivation. Feelings of anxiousness and overwhelm seem to pop up this time of year for me (if I let them). But... You know I like to start my day by spending some time with Jesus and journaling, so I sat down to do just that. I opened my journal and the first thing I saw is something I wrote just 3 days ago !!  "I want my light to shine brighter than my feelings." How ironic, right?! This made me smile 😊😊 because that's exactly what I want! I don't want my feelings to dictate my days!! I want to dictate my feelings! HOW? God is a Good God

 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalm 34:8) Good morning, friends! I had something on my mind and wanted to share it with you. One of our granddaughters recently got hurt, and it hurt my heart so deeply for her. Since that day, I have wanted nothing more than to see her, hold her, be close to her, tell her how much her Mimi loves her. I didn’t cause her to get hurt. It was an accident and accidents happen. But, man, I just wanted to fix it, to lay my hands on her, pray for her. I know that her resilience and quick healing is because of the good God we serve.   We spent the afternoon with her on Sunday and after we left, I was thinking about her and God spoke something to my heart. He told me that He feels exactly the same way when I hurt. He isn’t the cause of my pain, sickness, etc. But when I do hurt, He wants nothing more than to comfort me, be close to me, hold me.
