HE HAS OUR BACKS

Christ Jesus is the One who died, but even more, has been raised; He also is at the right hand of God and intercedes for us.  Romans 8:34 

Intercede means to intervene on behalf of another (to negotiate, arbitrate, to step in, take action).  Romans 8:34 above says Jesus negotiates and steps in for us.  He did it all on the cross and yet still intercedes for us.  He steps in, negotiates, and takes action...For US!  He never stops...never leaves...never gives up.  Praise God!  

Oh, how I know the truth of this verse because there was a time I needed Him to take action for me, to step in on my behalf, and He did!!  I watched Him change people's minds and reveal truth to them.  He reminded me that NO weapon formed against me would prosper and that I would refute EVERY tongue that accused me (Isaiah 54:17), and then I watched as person by person reached out to me proving that no weapon formed against me was prospering, truth was revealed!  Do you know what I had to do?  NOTHING!  He was fighting for me.  I didn't have to do a thing but wait on Jesus and trust in the word He laid on my heart.  And guess what...I didn't have to fight my battles on social media.  I didn't have to take anyone to "Facebook court."  I just had to believe He was interceding for me.  I remember the peace I felt in that.  I watched Him work and I'm still in awe of what He did.  This is a small piece of my testimony that I think I will share more of later 😊 But for now, I just want to say...Oh, how much He loves us!  

Do you know Jesus has your back?!?  Trust Him when He says He intercedes for you.  He takes action for you.  He negotiates on your behalf.  I've seen it firsthand.  I've experienced His goodness that carried me through the hard stuff and set me down on the other side.  I've experienced this love that is like no other!  

May I always trust and know that my Creator and King has my back.  May I never doubt that He is always interceding for me.  And may you always know the same, that He loves YOU and He is always interceding for YOU!

Psalm 46:10...Be still and know that I am God.  Be still means to sink down, relax, let go, cease striving.  Did you feel that??  Ahhh, we can just relax and trust Him.  He has our backs 😊

Myrtle Beach

We just spent the last several days in Myrtle Beach.  The weather and the views were perfect!! And, of course, we ate well.  If you happen to visit: I think we would all recommend the Flying Fish. The food was SO good, and we may have eaten there twice to try a couple of other menu items 😉. The Grouper and the Seafood Linguini were our favorite Entrees. The Seafood Nachos were a big hit as well. The hubby loved the oysters, but I can't make myself try them😁.  We also tried the Chesapeake House, and it was good as well. The hush puppies and cinnamon rolls served before the meal were yummy!  Lulu’s had a super cute atmosphere. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite, though still good.  Barefoot Landing at Myrtle was a really beautiful place to eat and shop. Flying Fish and Lulu’s were both located there, and the baby had her first carousel ride there. This was such a good time of rest, relaxation, and laughter. Feelings

How are you feeling this morning, in this season of change? I don't know about you, but I sat down this morning thinking about how I feel  - a little tired, the weather is changing, getting darker earlier, less sunshine, affecting my motivation. Feelings of anxiousness and overwhelm seem to pop up this time of year for me (if I let them). But... You know I like to start my day by spending some time with Jesus and journaling, so I sat down to do just that. I opened my journal and the first thing I saw is something I wrote just 3 days ago !!  "I want my light to shine brighter than my feelings." How ironic, right?! This made me smile 😊😊 because that's exactly what I want! I don't want my feelings to dictate my days!! I want to dictate my feelings! HOW? Not by acknowledging all these feelings, but by acknowledging the word of God (which is truth), by renewing my mind, by reminding myself that... God is a Good God

 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalm 34:8) Good morning, friends! I had something on my mind and wanted to share it with you. One of our granddaughters recently got hurt, and it hurt my heart so deeply for her. Since that day, I have wanted nothing more than to see her, hold her, be close to her, tell her how much her Mimi loves her. I didn’t cause her to get hurt. It was an accident and accidents happen. But, man, I just wanted to fix it, to lay my hands on her, pray for her. I know that her resilience and quick healing is because of the good God we serve.   We spent the afternoon with her on Sunday and after we left, I was thinking about her and God spoke something to my heart. He told me that He feels exactly the same way when I hurt. He isn’t the cause of my pain, sickness, etc. But when I do hurt, He wants nothing more than to comfort me, be close to me, hold me.
