Myrtle Beach

We just spent the last several days in Myrtle Beach.  The weather and the views were perfect!! And, of course, we ate well.  If you happen to visit:
  • I think we would all recommend the Flying Fish. The food was SO good, and we may have eaten there twice to try a couple of other menu items šŸ˜‰. The Grouper and the Seafood Linguini were our favorite Entrees. The Seafood Nachos were a big hit as well. The hubby loved the oysters, but I can't make myself try themšŸ˜.
  • We also tried the Chesapeake House, and it was good as well. The hush puppies and cinnamon rolls served before the meal were yummy!
  • Luluā€™s had a super cute atmosphere. I wouldnā€™t say it was my favorite, though still good.
  • Barefoot Landing at Myrtle was a really beautiful place to eat and shop. Flying Fish and Luluā€™s were both located there, and the baby had her first carousel ride there.

This was such a good time of rest, relaxation, and laughter. At the last minute, one of our daughters and 18-month-old granddaughter decided to join us. We watched as this baby met the ocean and the sand. She met it with SO much joy, so much energy. Her squeals and laughter were evidence of what she felt, and it was contagious! She met that giant of an ocean, with waves bigger than she is, without fear. Her trust was fully in her Mommy, her Pap, and her Mimi. She knew without doubt that we would catch her if she fell (and she did fall...again and again šŸ˜„).

My verse this morning, 2 Timothy 1:12, made me think of that baby's trust. The verse reads...But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me.

May I know and be as convinced as this baby on the beach that I can trust my Savior. May I be convinced that I can live SO fully, chase the desires of my heart (for He gives them to me), and then trust Him to guard what He has entrusted to me. Man, I want to trust Him like that...don't you?!?
